With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Althea J. Horton (York, Pennsylvania), born in Pineville, South Carolina, who passed away on August 14, 2023 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter F. Jenkins and Mary M. Wilson; her husband Sylvester Horton; and her siblings, Marion St. Julian Jenkins, Gloria C. Eady, Franklin D. Jenkins and Mozelle Jenkins.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sherrie R. Horton (Anthony) and Kristi A. Lee Jr. (Rodney); her siblings, Rachel Philson and Henry Jenkins; her siblings-in-law, Sidney Burrison, Reva Shaw (Willard), Rev. Marva Jenkins and Lee Herbert Horton (Audrey); her grandchildren, Noah George, Kayla Horton-Cayenne, Kheidan Cayenne, Kiylah Lee, Karryn Lee, Rodney "Trey" Lee III and Ashton Chase; and her caregivers, Latoya Andrews and Ariele Walker. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
