She was predeceased by : her parents, Edgar Schildt and Ada Schildt (Bowers); her husband Roy Pifer; and her siblings, Ralph, Paul, Laverne, Daniel and Esther.
She is survived by : her children, Jonathan Pifer (Chery) and Shirley Miller (Philip) of York Springs; and her brother Lloyd Schildt (Geraldine) of New Oxford. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
