He was predeceased by: his father George Henry; and his brothers, Donald, Thomas and James Norton. He is survived by: his wife Connie Lee (Smith); his children, Carol Gillmen (David), Cathy Cavanaugh (Chris) and Bob Norton (Cindy); his grandchildren, Emily, Ethan, Meghan, Sarah, Christina, Bill and Jessica; his siblings, William (Norma Jean Norton), Mary (John McGinnis) and Theodore (Sharon Norton); and his sisters-in-law, Donna Norton and Suzanne Norton.
