He was predeceased by: his parents, James Smith and Nancy Smith (Wagner); his sons, George Alvin Smith and Jason Pensinger; his brothers, Duane Wagner and Sheldon Brock Beaston; and his daughter-in-law Tess Macauley.
He is survived by: his wife Toni Smith (Forgy); his children, Matthew Smith (Teshia) of Chambersburg, Stephanie Searer (Michael) of Yeagertown, Marc Smith of Yeagertown, Shawn Pensinger of Chambersburg and Tanya Gallagher (Scott) of Arizona; his grandchildren, Ashlynn Searer, Vivian Searer, Kyler, Mason, Ciara, Novah, Jenna, Peyton Smith, Lorraina Searer, Caleb, Lucy and Kaiden Smith; his great grandchild Rhylynn Sanso; and his siblings, Christine Kapko of Virginia, Susan Heslop, Johnstown, Tami Mehringer of Illinois, Tonya Bashore of Reinholds, Dutt Juanita Campbell of East Waterford, Elmer Beaston of Amberson, Terry Beaston, McCoysville and Zoe Eppinger of Kentucky.
