Joseph S. Smiles Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph S. Smiles of Wyoming, Pennsylvania, born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 22, 2024 at the age of 45. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Joseph may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Sam, Pauline Cumbo, Jean and Joseph Smiles. He is survived by: his father R. Nelson; his aunt Josey Wolff (Dennis); and his cousins, David Valenti (Daisy), Marco Valenti (Virginia) and Cathy Ranieli (Joseph). He is also survived by relatives, aunts and cousins.
He was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the Eastern Pennsylvania Bleeding Disorders Foundation.
