He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred J. Arey and Rachel Manahan Arey; his wife Miriam "Mimi" A. Dibble; his daughter Sally Brown; and his siblings, Alice Armitage, Lynne Matlack, Paul Arey, Edward Arey and Kenneth Arey.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Ace (Brian) of Romulus, NY and Jim Arey, Jr. (Joanne) of Harrisburg, PA; his son-in-law Jan Brown of Sugar Run, PA; his grandchildren, Wayne Felter, II, Jesse Brown, Jim Arey, III (Ginny), Josh Arey (Christina) and Janet Hopta (Jon); his great grandchildren, Braden Felter, Mitchell Felter, TJ Arey, Luke Arey, Declan Arey, Grant Hopta and Natalie Hopta; his sisters, Ann Meas (Paul) of New Albany, PA and Kay Louise Stark of Dallas, PA; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Arey of Wyalusing, PA, Dorcas Arey of Tupper Lake, NY and Norma Dunklee of Roseville, MN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Jim's name to Activities Fund at the Skilled Nursing Unit at Guthrie Towanda Hospital, 91 Hospital Drive, Towanda, PA 18848 or to the H.O.P.S.
