He was predeceased by: his parents, John Homet and Harriet Taylor Howard, Sr.; his former wife Vivienne Bergey Howard; his daughter Katie Howard; his wife Betty J. Howard; his close friend Frances P. Gaylord; and his siblings, James Howard, John Howard, Jr. and Theresa Brennan.
He is survived by: his son Charles "Chuck" D. Howard of Homets Ferry, PA; his stepchildren, Donna Kasson, Betty Jo Fitzgerald and John Armstrong; his siblings, Lucy Lockwood and William Howard (Leah Adams); his siblings-in-law, Ambrose Brennan and Shirley Howard; and also, Peggy Gaylord, Rachel Chetel-Nachman and Aaron Gaylord, Jr.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
