He was predeceased by: his spouse Olivene "El" Thomas Hammer; his parents, Paul Hammer and Thelma Houseal Hammer; his son Alan Hammer; his grandchildren, Jackie Hake and Steven Hammer, Jr.; and his siblings, Joyce Ort and James Hammer.
He is survived by: his children, George Bayman (Deb), Jeanne McCarthy (late Charles), Steven Hammer (Donna) and Michael Hammer (Kimberly); and his sisters, Nancy Floyd and Lorraine Shovlin. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fairview Cemetery (600 Hellam St, Wrightsville, PA 17368).
