He was predeceased by: his parents, James Burke and Rosamond Burke (Graham); his parents-in-law, Violet Ruffner and Ivan J. Hooks; his siblings, Lawrence Burke and Anna Bergbigler (Harry); and his siblings-in-law, Robert Landgraf, Janice Hooks and Betty Hooks.
He is survived by: his wife Prudence Burke (Hooks); his daughters, Gidget Kidder (John) and Tonya Little (Tony); his grandchildren, Allison Croyle (Adam), Alecia Kidder, Megan Galey (Colin), Jonathan, Abigail, Andrew and Anna Little; his great grandchildren, Ezekiel Croyle and Clare Galey; his daughter Karen Nigra (Andrew); his siblings, Tom Burke (Linda), Don Burke (Cheryl), Ron Burke (Liliana), Norman Dean Burke (Tracy), Daniel Burke (Tammy), Barbara McCue (Randal) and Norma Jean Fallecker (Bruce); and his brothers-in-law, Herbert Hooks and Amos Hooks (Linda). He is also survived by friends, especially his 7 grandchildren and two 1 year old great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made in John's memory to the Worthington American Legion Post 828 for a scholarship fund in John's memory, P.O. Box 357, Worthington, PA 16262.
