He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Vincent and Mary Elizabeth Switzer (Young); and his siblings, Lillan Switzer, Doris Shovestull, Shirley Weaver, Vincent Switzer and Arnold Switzer.
He is survived by: his children, James A. Switzer, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Kittanning, Julie A. Beckley (Michael) of Smithton and Jennifer A. Stephens (Britton Grimes) of Yukon. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and six great- grandchildren.
