He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh L. Bonner and Elizabeth M. Bonner; his wives, Amelia Bonner (Blondeaux) and Betty Bonner (Mailki); his sister Glenna Bowser; his grandsons, Daniel Bonner and Tyler Watterson; and his daughter Martha "Marti" Watterson.
He is survived by: his children, Gigi Bonner, Amy Mundy, Bonnie Malone, Carol Cain, Wade Shanholtz (Sherri) and Kevin Shanholtz; his siblings, Gary Bonner (Patricia) and Susan McClafferty; his grandchildren, Raquel Bonner, Joshua Toy, James Watterson, Zane Bonner, Will Mundy, Chris, Carol, Cory and Casey; his caregivers, Frances, Candie and Kristy; and also, Kenny and Cindy. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.
