He was predeceased by: his parents, William Simmers and Olive Ruth Simmers; his granddaughter Melissa Turley; and his siblings, Robert, Walter Simmers, Vera Simmers and Dorothy Cravener.
He is survived by: his wife Edith Simmers (Goldinger) of Worthington; his children, Pam Schwickrath (Ray) of Worthington and Ed Simmers (Lorri) of Worthington; his grandchildren, Tracy Wrigley (PJ), Raymond Schwickrath, Trista Simmers, Drew Simmers and Sean Turley; his great grandchildren, Layla Schwickrath, Addyson, Zachary Wrigley and Kiya Lee Skiles; and his niece Vick Toy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Elmer's honor to Victory Baptist Church, 295 Pleasant View Dr., Kittanning, Pa 16201.
