He was predeceased by: his parents, Alonzo C. Painter and Gertrude M. Painter (Reed); his wife Pearl R. Painter (Timmerberg); his daughter Barbara L. Claypoole; his granddaughter Kimberly Burke Martino; his brothers, Robert and William Painter; and his son-in-law Robert Baumgartner.
He is survived by: his sons, Dan A. "Butch" Painter, Jr. (Freddie) of Murrells Inlet, SC and Robert C. Painter (Kelly) of Kittanning; his stepson Richard D. Trudgen (Beth) of DuBois; his daughters, Pamela G. Baumgartner of Venice, FL, Cheryl A. Burke (Donald) of Fenelton, Dana L. Ball (Glenn) of Madisonville, KY and Debra L. Snyder (Tom) of Cowansville; and his son-in-law Roger Claypoole of Worthington. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.
