She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Joy and Gladys Joy; her husband Perry Smith; and her siblings, Donald Joy and Evelyn McConnell.

She is survived by: her daughters, Bonny Merrifield (Dennis) of Woolrich, Carol Mayes (Donald Baier) of Woolrich, Donna Fox of North Carolina, Gloria Smith of Florida and Christine Reiman (Michael) of North Carolina; and her stepson Roger Smith (Gloria) of New York.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Clinton County SPCA.
