He was predeceased by: his parent Joseph Cowher; his son Douglas Cowher; and his siblings, Joann Osterhoudt, Holly Melissa Cowher and Joseph V. "Butch" Cowher.
He is survived by: his parent Helen Alterio Cowher (Betty); his spouse Althea Jean Greib Cowher; his children, Bobbie J. Lamey (John) of Jersey Shore and Billy Hosterman of Spring Mills; his siblings, Brenda Bartley (Lou) of Millheim, Susan Neideigh (Courtney) of Aaronsburg, Rick Cowher (Patty) of Castanea, Robert Cowher of Millheim, Charles Cowher (Janet) of Centre Hall and Buddy Cowher (Beth) of Millhein; his grandchildren, Samantha Allen, Hali Zerbe, Dalton Zerbe, Brayden Cowher and Payton Cowher; and his brother-in-law Gary Osterhoudt.
