He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Wallace and Elva Wallace (English); his wife Betty Lou Wallace (Conklin); his son James M. Wallace, Jr.; his granddaughter Renee Lynn Wallace; his great grandchild Trenton Wallace; and his brothers, Burton, Frank, Albert Ardell and Wilbur Wallace.
He is survived by: his children, Ai E. Wallace (Karen) of Safford, AZ, Lisa Lego (John) of Osceola Mills and Jack D. Wallace (Lisa); his grandchildren, Kurt Wallace, McKenzie Lego, Brandon Wallace, Aaron Wallace, Laura Lego, Kayla Wallace and Kiersten Wallace; and his siblings, Richard Wallace (Vivian) of Rockton, Russell Wallace (Judy) of Shiloh, Walter Wallace (Janet) of Wallaceton and Frances Maines of Shiloh. He is also survived by eighteen great grandchildren.
