He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvin Rightenour and Icy Regina Rightenour (Longenecker); his grandson Kaleb Rightenour; and his siblings, Merle, Sarah, Glenn, Barry and Eleanor.
He is survived by: his wife Carol (Lantz); his children, John Rightenour, Jr. (Aleah) and Cathy Guyer (Lee); his grandson Kaden Rightenour of Woodbury; and his siblings, Willis of Claysburg, Fern Dick of Duncansville, Nettie Mooney of Hollidaysburg, Robert of Mount Union, George and James of Altoona. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
