He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Hershberger and Cleo Hershberger (Detwiler); and his brothers, Charles, John, Max and Bob Hershberger.
He is survived by: his wife Wilda Hershberger (Hoover); his son Terry Hershberger (Marlys); his grandchildren, Jeremy Hershberger, Stephen Hershberger (Emily), Natalie Hershberger and Nathan Hershberger (Stephanie); and his siblings, Lois Kyper and Jerry Lee Hershberger.
