She was predeceased by: her parents, Percey Adams and Louise Chaney Adams (Arcq); and her siblings, Raymond Chaney, Robert H. Adams, Louise Chaney Pryor, Janelle Adams and Erma Adams.

She is survived by: her stepfather Robert E. Adams; her husband James E. Horton; her sons, Michael D. Horton and James S. Horton; her grandsons, Travis, Josh, David and Andrew; and her sisters, Mary Hoffman May, Ruth George and Gloria Steele (Don). She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
