He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Glatfelter and Creda Glatfelter (Hengst). He is survived by: his wife Joanne E. Glatfelter (Blymire); his children, Brenda Black (Michael), Thomas L. Glatfelter Jr. (Gloria), Todd Glatfelter (Angela) and Bryan Glatfelter (Wendy); and his siblings, Kenneth Glatfelter (Laura), John Glatfelter (Jackie), Steve Glatfelter (Shirley), Richard Glatfelter (Cathy), Doris Ford, Judy Klinger (Dennis) and Debra (Ronald). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
