Preston C. Mundis Obituary
October 21, 1927 - September 17, 2017 RED LION - Preston C. Mundis, 89, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Autumn House East in York. He was the husband of the late Margaret B. "Whitey" (Hake) Mundis. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Windsor Church of God, 1125 Manor Rd. in Windsor.
His pastor, The Reverend Anthony Zumbo will be officiating at the service. Viewings will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc. and 10–11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Windsor Church of God Cemetery. Mr. Mundis was born in Windsor Township on October 21, 1927, the son of the late Edgar and Mary (Bortner) Mundis.
He was a farmer and worked at Senft Potato Chips in York and then was self employed as a house painter for his business, Preston C. Mundis Painting, Inc. in Red Lion. Mr. Mundis was a member of Windsor Church of God, where he was a Sunday school teacher for 50 years and was a soloist, participating in many weddings. He was a member of The Country Gospelair"s for 31 years.
He enjoyed hunting, bowling, and helping family members and the community. Mr. Mundis leaves two sons, Richard E. Mundis and his wife Diane of Felton and Alan R. Mundis and his wife Patty of Red Lion; nine grandsons; nine great grandchildren; and a great, great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Mellinger.
