He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Prothero and Mary Prothero (Goff); his former wife Gloria (Good); and his brother Robert Prothero. He is survived by: his wife Donna Prothero (Bash); his children, Scott Prothero (Wendi), Jennifer and Wendy Prothero; his grandchild Courtney Prothero (Michael Moore); his daughters, Reece Prothero and Audrey Hynes; his stepchildren, Karen Welsh (Gary), Deborah Lewis and Thomas Lewis (Naomi); his stepgrandchildren, Truman and Kennedy Welsh; his niece Tammy Lane (Patrick); and his nephews, Michael Prothero (Carrie) and Stephen Prothero (Eryn).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Westmont Presbyterian Church, the Humane Society, or Windber Hospice.
