He is survived by: his parents, Emerson Daniel and Ella Joyce Shaffer (Swartz); his wife Beth Ann Shaffer (Swope); his children, Daniel (Janessa), Alex (Jackie) and Shannon Shaffer; his stepchildren, Ryan (Brianna), Devon (Victoria), Blake (Kylea) and Hannah Michaels; his grandchildren, Sawyer, Summer, Serenity, Ellie and Silas; and his siblings, Gary (Kimberly), Todd (Tricia), Timothy (Danielle) and Danna Porada (Christopher).
