He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hook and Nancy Hook (Harconich); and his siblings, Metro, George, Harry, Mike, Marie, Ann, Mary, Josephine and Rose.
He is survived by: his daughter Brenda Hunter; his wife Kay E. Hook (Fry); his son-in-law Mike Hunter; his daughters, Rhonda Glatz and Paula Keiper (Keith); his grandchildren, Michael Hunter (Maggie Weyandt Hunter), Brandon Hunter, Danielle Glatz, Shawna Glatz, Joshua Glatz, Luke Keiper, Jake Keiper (Maria Krug Keiper) and Kylie Keiper; his great grandchildren, Logan Hunter, Laiken Hunter, William Glatz, Rosalie Myers, Emorie Strang, Willow Myers, Wyatt Myers, Christopher Strang and Liberty Strang; and his sister Nancy Washko. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Windber American Legion Post 137 in memory of Steve Hook.
