He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sr. Debevits and Anna Debevits (Dezelon); his wife Alice M. Debevits (Packer); and his brothers, John Jr. and Tony.

He is survived by: his children, Robert R. Debevits Jr. (Reba), Edward J. Debevits (Tracy), Eric A. Debevits (Krystal) of Greensville, PA and Karen Hennessy; his grandchildren, Rhea, Jill, Resha, Mandy, Matt, Raelynn, Rachelle, Megan, Kyra and Eric Jr.; his brother David Debevits; and his siblings-in-law, Raymond Packer Jr. and Anna Mae Orsargos. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
