He was predeceased by: his parents, Graydon R. Potts and Gladys L. Potts (Cook); his brother Craig Potts; and his brother-in-law Earl Motz. He is survived by: his children, Tammy L. Potts and Eric Q. Potts (Rachel); his grandchildren, Lydia N. Potts and Josiah C. Potts; and his siblings, Sharon Motz and Jerry R. Potts (Patricia).

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home (1312 Graham Ave, Windber, PA 15963). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.

Lou Bafile wrote a sympathy message

“This was sad news about my old friend and former roommate. We shared an apartment in Greentree for over a year in 1968 while we attended West Penn Tech. I will never forget his white Rambler that he had to drive us back to Windber each weekend. Later he and I worked in the engineering room for Crown Construction Company drawing shopping centers and Holiday Inns with his brother. He lived in an apartment on 10th Street that my late wife found for him and his new bride. I will miss him. My prayer”
