Mary L. Popelich Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary L. Popelich of Windber, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 27, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Mary leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Joseph and Anna Veronica Pernick (Yeager); her husband George Popelich; and her siblings, George "Perk" Pernick (Mae), John "Dago" Pernick (Frances), Anne "Hunka" Raymond (Clyde), Joseph "Amos" Pernick (Stella), Margie Morgan (Jack), Stephen "Chip" Pernick, Andrew "Boots" Pernick (Mary Kay) and Tressa P. Hoy.
She is survived by: her sister Helen Koshute. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church (803 Somerset Ave, Windber, PA 15963).
