It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marlene Soyka of Windber, Pennsylvania, born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 15, 2021, at the age of 52, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Michael Nyda. She is survived by: her mother Barbara Nyda (Vernalli); her husband Brian Soyka; her siblings, Michele Miller (Nyda), Michael Nyda, Debbie Reighard (Nyda) and Christine Nyda; and her grandchildren, Raiden, Jeremiah, Preston, Bentley and Bryan Merberger.
The family will have an open viewing service from 6 to 8 pm Saturday April 17, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Sunday April 18, and prior to the 10am service on Monday at Meek and Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Windber. (Social distancing and CDC guidelines must be followed, masks required.).
