He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. and Barbara A. (Markovich); his sister Betty L. Jones; his brothers-in-law, Robert Jones and Roger Knepshield; and his niece Amy Knepshield.

He is survived by: his wife Janis Daily (Thirkell); his children, John J. Daily (Paula) and Jill R. Lisson (Jon); his grandsons, Gavin (Jensen), Darius (Katelyn) and Parker; his great grandchildren, Charlotte, Remi and Aria; his grandson Tom Hockersmith; and his close friend Janis Daily.
