He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bennett and Ethel Bennett Sr. (Newcomer); his wife Darlene "Ida" Bennett (Hipp); his son John Bennett III; his grandchildren, Bradly and Scotty; and his sisters, Jean Sechrengost, Mary Robb and Joan Rocco.

He is survived by: his daughter Deanna Dukery; his grandchildren, BJ and Tara; and his pet Charlie. He is also survived by five great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with expenses.
