He is survived by: his wife Leona (Nadonley); his sons, Edwin (Danna Bevec) of Johnstown, Eugene (Christina Goch) of Johnstown and Eric (Amy Edwards) of Windber; his grandchildren, James, Jr. of Windber, Zachary Bowser (Hayden) of Philadelphia, PA, Alaina Bowser of Philadelphia, PA, Logan Bowser (Ally) of Altoona, PA, Joshua Bowser of Johnstown, PA, Alicia Ciarimboli (Brenan) of Johnstown, PA and Ashley Bowser of North Carolina; his sisters, Joyce Baumgardner (Ray), Becky Vogel (Jerry), Barabara "Punky", Weaver, Lola "Louise" Damico (Ed), Lana "Gay" Sepp (Joseph), Sue and Schmadel; and his sisters-in-law, Pauline, Nadonley and Blanche. He is also survived by His family.
