He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Rector and Patricia Flori (Rector); his wife Saundra Maggs; and his stepfather Joseph A. "Blackie" Flori. He is survived by: his children, Angela Rector (Sam Thomas Jr.) and Jeffrey Rector; his sisters, Theresa Smith (Joseph Smith Sr.) and Deborah Yarbinitz; his uncle Dennis Flori (Joan); his niece Rachelle Hare (Brian Thomas); and his great-nephews, Trentyn Hare, Braiden and Brailen Thomas.
