He was predeceased by: his parents, George H. McGuire and Rosella McGuire (Shellhammer). He is survived by: his son George Andrew McGuire; his siblings, Mary C. Nolte, James R. McGuire and Janice (George Murphy); his niece Anna Cross (Donald); his nephews, John Murphy and Ryan Murphy; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kyle Cross (Nicole), Brandon Cross (Adria), MacKenzie, Madelyn, Timothy, Ayden and Treyton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cover Hill Volunteer Fire Department.
