He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Thompson and Mary Thompson (Britton); his wife Marsha Strawn; and his brothers, Junior, Gary, Johnny, Kerry and Billy Thompson.
He is survived by: his sons, David Douglas of Fairmont, WV and Destrey Daniel Thompson of Wind Ridge; his grandchildren, Brittany D., Paige D., Kaylee B., Braedon D., Lane D. and Bentley R. Thompson; his great grandchildren, Landon and Raelynn Leonard; and his sister Mary "Susie" Roush of Spraggs.
