He is survived by: his sister Tamara Nelson (Michael); his nieces, Nicole Scherer (Christian) and Jennifer; his nephew Dylan Nelson; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Arden, Cullen Scherer, Autumn and Claire Nelson. He is also survived by several cousins and many friends.
