He was predeceased by: his parents, James McGuigan and Helen McGuigan. He is survived by: his wife Claire A. Stitzell-McGuigan; his daughter Theresa Edwards (Ben); his grandchildren, Timothy and Khloe Edwards; his brother David McGuigan of Wilmington, Delaware.; and his pet Sunny.
