William J. Smythe Sr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William J. Smythe Sr. in Willow Valley, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 20, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor D. Smythe and Annunciata Smythe (Kearns); his brothers, John D. Smythe of Convent Station and David L. Smythe of Stuart, Florida.; his spouse Gail A. Smythe (Morgan); and his daughter Penny.
He is survived by: his children, William Smythe, Jr. (Bill), Andrea Peleg (Yariv), Abbie Ellis (Bob) and Alison Smythe; his grandchildren, Arielle (Yosef), Jeremy, Katie, Lexi, Rachel, Ben, Maggie, Leah (Erick), Jack and Emily; and his great grandchildren, Elai and Talia.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Bill's name to The Midland School Foundation, Branchburg, New Jersey (midlandnj.org) in his honor.
