He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Ehlers and Erna Ehlers (Dammeyer); his brother Ralph Ehlers; and his wife Bess Ehlers. He is survived by: his children, Nancy Olivo (Jerry), Cynthia Lynes (Richard) and Stephen Ehlers (Heidi); his grandchildren, Erica Bracken, Craig Olivo, Jill Doran, Andrew Ehlers, Scott Olivo, Amy Karman and Kurt Ehlers; and his great grandchildren, Finley Doran, Wesley Karman, Connor Olivo, Audrey Olivo, Antonio Olivo, Riley Bracken and Jane Karman.
