He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Pacinelli and Josephine Pacinelli (Shaw); and his wife Patricia (Piersol). He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, Joan Burks of Lancaster, PA and Barry Piersol (Vickie); his niece Meredith Bieszczad (Jake); his nephew Brandon Piersol (Rachel); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Vera, Lena, Iris, Bennett and Hudson; and his close friend Sandy Blanchard.
In recognition of his contributions to VR, the Pennsylvania Rehabilitation Association has named both a leadership award and an annual policy forum after him.
