She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse James "Jim" Fitzgerald; her parents, James Hesson and Catherine Hesson; her children, Denise Smith (Matt), Brian Fitzgerald (Brenda), Casey Henry (Jim) and Shannon D'Alessio (John); her grandchildren, Reilly, Jackson, Nolan, Lucas, Declan, Fiona and Arthur; her brothers, Joe Hesson and Jim Hesson; and her sisters-in-law, Nancy Vollmar and Kathleen Schival. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
