He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Horton and Ruth Weiskopff Horton. He is survived by: his wife Linda L. James Horton; his children, Carrie Horton, Holly Horton, Heather McNett (Michael) and John Horton, Jr. (Katie); and his siblings, James Horton and Carla Mader.
