She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Challenger and Blanche Walkinshaw Challenger; her husband Carl Shomper; her son Rex Shomper; and her brothers, Ted Challenger of Williamstown and James Challenger of Elizabethville.

She is survived by: her son Todd J. Shomper (Julie McHugh Shomper); and her brother Joseph "Booty" Challenger.
