She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlton Staggers and Eddie Mae Staggers (Gamble); her husband Willie Gibson; her children, Albert M. Gibson and Kathleen Gibson Smith-Kinchlowe; and her sister Katherine Gibson Hinson.
She is survived by: her children, Valerie Cousar (Alan), Harold Gibson (Catherine), John Gibson and Jasper "Man" Gamble; her grandchildren, Khaliah, Jmir, Kareem, Akeem, Iyuana, Saabir, Earl, Tia and Christopher; and her sister Carla Patillo. She is also survived by many loving friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.
