It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nora E. Mitchell (Williamsport, Pennsylvania), who passed away on March 11, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank J. Haserick and Laura Haserick (Smith); her son Leland Benson, Jr.; her granddaughter Diane Benson; and her brother Jack Haserick.
She is survived by: her sons, Wayne F. Benson (Karen) of Williamsport and James L. Benson (Robin); her grandchildren, Denise Cordes (Andy), Jeanna Magyar, Wayne Benson, Jr., Destin Benson, Wade Benson (Stephanie) and Billie Jo Varmer (Jared); her great grandchildren, Hailey Benson, Sara Benson, Lauren Magyar, Victoria Magyar, Akai Wheeler, Aris Wheeler, Liam Benson, Dylan Benson, Jaiden Benson, Brandon Benson, Makayla Varmer and Weston Varmer; and her great great grandchild Wyatt Wheeler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
