She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold W. Hope and Sophie M. Hope (Dinn); her husband Waldo R. Bird; her daughters, Donna E. Andrews and Constance I. Bird; and her siblings, William D. Hope, John W. "Jack" Hope and Mary Elizabeth Hope.
She is survived by: her children, Virginia A. Couveau-Case of Atlanta, GA, Bonnie M. Bird Maddox of Cogan Station, Lori H. Bird of Williamsport and Lynn V. Bird of Colorado. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
