He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles W. Young and Marian Young (Paulhamus). He is survived by: his wife Barbara "Bonnie" Young (Baker); his children, David S. Young (Cynthia Laychur) and Susan Y. Matty (John); his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Matty, Jake Matty, Brady Young and Olivia Young; and his brother William E. Young (Jayne).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Faith Wesleyan Church.
