He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard A. Markley and Arlene R. Markley (Keller). He is survived by: his wife Rose Markley (Steppe); his sons, Jeff Markley (Kelli) of Jersey Shore and Craig Markley of Williamsport; his grandchildren, Riley, Reagan and Thomas Markley; and his sister Kelley Sees of Williamsport.
