With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Helen (Elena) Sammarco of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Helen left this world on February 7, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Domenic J. Sammarco and Eugenia M. Sammarco (Rinaldi); her siblings, Santo Sammarco (Frances), Menotti Sammarco, Virginia Guravage (Anthony) and Lily Waldman (William Jr.); and her nephews, Donald Sammarco and Domenic Sammarco.
She is survived by:, Giannina Sammarco of Stamford, CT, Betsy Sammarco of Stamford, CT, Michael Guravage (Koosje), Mary Yost (Dolph) of North Catasauqua, PA, John Guravage (Pamela) of Mansfield, MA, Leonard Sammarco (Judite) of Silver Spring, MD, Frank Sammarco (Angela) of Laytonsville, MD, Martha Borraccini (Joseph) of Downingtown, PA, William Waldman, III of Burbank, CA and Mary Jenkins (Brent) of McLean, VA. She is also survived by 19 grand nephews and nieces and many extended family.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph the Worker Parish (702 W 4th St, Williamsport, PA 17701).
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests Masses be offered in Helen's name.
