He was predeceased by: his father William Young; his wife Arlene E. Young (Willits); his children, Eugene A. Young, Jr., George A. Young and Leona S. Pena; his brother Ray Young; and his stepchildren, Frank E. Reese, Faye E. Reese and David H. Reese.
He is survived by: his children, William C. Young (Lisa Rook) of Williamsport, Yvonne L. Fredin (Raymond Lewis) of Williamsport and Teresa J. Minnick (Glenn) of Williamsport; his sister Mary Young of Williamsport; and his stepchildren, Robin A. Kriner (Arthur) of Jersey Shore, Blanche M. Boarts (Ron) of Erie and Bryan R. Reese (Carla) of Boise. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one great-great grandson.
