He was predeceased by: his parents, James L. Hopple and Maxine Allen (Pepperman); and his stepfather Roland Allen. He is survived by: his wife Deborah K. Hopple; his sons, Douglas W. Hopple, Jr. and Jason Hopple (Megan Derrick); his grandchildren, Alayna Hopple, Kendall Hopple and Zane Hopple; and his siblings, Michael Hopple (Nora), Jeffrey Hopple (Glenda), David Allen (Bobbiemarie), Roland Allen, Sandra Duke (Jason) and Jessica Letterman (Michael).
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Woodward Township Volunteer Fire Company (4147 N Rte 220 Hwy, Linden, PA 17744).
